Just like most of the rest of the world, I first heard Avery Winter in her audition for the 6th season of America Got Talent. She wasn’t alone, she was auditioning along-side her two little cute friends Brooklyn Elbert and Kassidy King. Here is the video:
While listening to them, I couldn’t help but think of “Alvin and the Chipmunks”, the movie. They looked so tiny and adorable and their voice was so cute, just like the Chippetes. The crowd loved them and that is how they, “as a band”, came to fame.
Following their time on America’s Got Talent, the Calico Heart girls were offered a slot on ‘Maury’s Mini Idols’ where they performed their hit number ‘Dynamite’. Sadly, the band broke up because Avery’s family had to relocate from Lubbock and move to Dallas.
Avery Winter was born on January 22, 2002, so she is currently (@February 2015 ) , a bit more than 13 years old. Avery Winter’s career as a singer started at the age 4 and according to her LinkedIn account, she had around 600 live performances from year 2009 to 2014. Avery started her singing career at the Cactus Theater as a part of the Cactus Itty Bittys band.

I certainly hope to see Avery shine again soon and I hope to hear “Avery and the Calico Hearts” sing together again. I will remember Avery and the Calico Hearts every time i watch Alvin and the Chipmunks again.
