Solomia Lukyanets

Solomia Lukyanets is a 14 years old Ukrainian opera singer. She was born on April 24, 2001 in Kiev, where she lived her early childhood. Solomia currently lives in Berlin, Germany.

Solomia has claimed a lot of titles and won many competitions but she is mostly famous through her participation in The Voice Kids in its Ukrainian and German editions.

Despite her participation in The Voice Kids Germany not being her biggest career achievement in terms of titles and rankings (i.e. not making it to the semi finals); it is, in my personal opinion, the greatest stage (so far) of her very successful and very promising career.

Sassa Dagdag is a 13 year old Filipina singer and guitar player from Angeles City in Pampanga province, Philippines.

On July 12, 2015, Sassa Dagdag appeared on the 12th episode of the 2nd season of the The Voice Kids (Philippines) during the blind auditions; She sang Chandelier for Sia; the coaches and the audience loved her. Here is a video of her performance:

Gayathiri and Olivia are two musical and singing prodigies who have just taken the first step in their journey towards fame and I am pretty sure that it is going to be a long and successful journey.

It is easier for a singing prodigy to reach out to our hearts than it is for a Pianist or a Drummer. Why? because most of us can easily relate to one of our favorite songs, to the vocals of Whitney Huston or to the songs of our favorite modern artist; However, it takes a pianist or a classical music lover to appreciate the talent of a pianist.

Lee Shing-tsung, also known as Tsung Tsung is a child prodigy pianist from Hong Kong.  According to Time Out, Tsung Tsung has been playing the piano since the age of 3, that is with the help of his piano teacher Yau Sai-kit.

Arielle Baril

Another 12 years old prodigy has been discovered through American’s got talent. Her name is Arielle Baril, she is an American opera singer living in Drexel Hill in Pennsylvania.

Arielle Baril started her professional singing career on June 23rd 2015 with a stunning performance in front of the AGT’s judges; receiving a standing ovation and the Golden Buzzer from Heidi Klum.

Amira Willighagen is a prodigy opera singer from the Netherlands; Born on March 27, 2004, she managed to win the final of Holland’s Got Talent (2013) at the age of 9. Amira Willighagen is a perfect example of talent and genius, because she taught herself how to sing opera by watching Youtube videos. This might not seem like a big deal… but it is. Singing opera is the “Olympic level” of singing and one doesn’t simply become an Olympic Athlete by watching Youtube videos. Words can’t do justice to Amira’s talent, so please watch her audition to Holland’s Got Talent.

Arisxandra Libantino is an English prodigy singer from Filipino descent, she was born in 2001, so at the time of writing this post, Arisxandra is 13 to 14 years old.

Arisxandra rose to the spotlight in her audition to Briton’s Got Talent in February 2013 (which aired on 13 April), she performed ‘One Night Only’ and received a standing ovation from the judges and she stunned the crowd with her voice and talent.

Jaxon Smith is a self taught, prodigy, Canadian Drummer. He was born on May of 2005, 3 and a half months pre-maturely but that is not why he is considered a prodigy. Jaxon is a prodigy because by the age of six and without any family musical history and without receiving any drumming lessons, he was brilliant enough to listen to songs, capture the beat in his mind and then play it afterwards, with any spoon, chopstick or drum-stick he could lay his hands on.

The first video I saw for Krisia is her cover song for “Simply the best” for Tina Turner. It is just amazing how well she has performed the song. I simply can’t believe that a 9 years old could sing this well. Even after watching all her videos, this video is still by far her best in my opinion.

Kirsia Todarova is a Bulgarian child prodigy. She was born in Varna on 1 June 2004.

Location: Freetown, Sierra Leone

Occupation: Inventor

Kelvin Doe was born in October 26, 1996 and he was raised by his mother alone… but let us go back a while. Before Kelvin was born, his mom, Ajua Daniel, traveled with her husband and four children to Liberia to work . However, the Liberian war broke out and all of them had to escape. Ajua and her children made it back to Siera Leane but her husband didn’t make it. Ajua, then met Kelvin’s dad and lived with him until she got pregnant. Kelvin’s dad asked her for abortion and once she refused, he abandoned her.

So again, Kelvin was raised by a his mom along with his 4 other siblings in one of the poorest countries in the world, Seirra Leone. I don’t know if you think your life is tough, but I think we can safely agree that Kelvin’s life as an infant and a teenager wasn’t easy at all.
